Sonya Reynolds has a decade’s experience in social justice and progressive data. She oversaw data and innovation at the NY Civic Engagement Table for 6 cycles, while tackling projects for the AFL-CIO, Movement for Black Lives, PDI, Family Equality Council and Latino Justice. She has served as chair of OpenSupporter (opensupporter.org) and the Participatory Budgeting NYC Steering Committee, is the Treasurer and co-Founder of The People’s Tech Alliance aka Progressive HackNight (progressivehacknight.org), and digital security trainer for NYC Stronger Communities - a project of Mozilla Foundation and the NYC Mayors Office. Sonya strongly believes that the answer to everything is not to be data driven: data is the GPS and the driving should come from impacted communities.
