I teach and research in adult literacy in community-based settings with an interest in the new literacies of the digital, the wild profusion of pedagogies erupting in technology education centres and other spaces off the grid of formalized learning. I care about the ways in which new technologies are organizing learning and producing new subjectivities and I am also concerned about the potential for new societies of control to develop around technologies so my research and advocacy is in the spaces of critical digital pedagogies, digital democracies and posthuman and quantum literacies connected to a revived ethic of care of humans and nonhumans.
