Stop One: Brightwalk Neighborhood
  • The Housing Partnership’s “Economic Mobility Through Digital Inclusion” program primarily serves families living in three affordable apartment developments within the mixed-income Brightwalk community: The McNeel, The Alexander, and The Stevenson. This mixed-income community is nestled within the North End Smart District. In order to prepare all residents (especially our seniors) for the digital world and heighten civic engagement, this program was launched to provide education and laptop devices to the community.

Stop Two: Dilleahy Courts
  • This Housing Authority in Charlotte is apart of the ConnectHomeUSA, a movement to bridge the digital divide for HUD-assisted housing residents in the United States under the leadership of national nonprofit EveryoneOn.

Stop Three: Digital Charlotte @ Knight School of Communication
  • The Knight School of Communication develops students into creative communicators who become engaged citizens and leaders in the communities they serve.

Stop One: Renaissance West STEAM Academy
  • Renaissance West Community Initiative (RWCI's) mission is to promote a collaborative community centered on quality housing, education, health and wellness, and opportunity. Their vision is to end intergenerational poverty through a holistic community revitalization effort. RWCI opened a Pre-K through 8th-grade school, Renaissance West STEAM Academy, in 2017 and jointly governs the school with Charlotte-Mecklenburg School system. 
Stop Two: Goodwill Opportunity Campus
  • This facility offers access to technology, assessment, and testing, personalized mentoring and coaching, a warm hand-off to strategic partner agencies located on campus, and expanded skill development capabilities.
Stop Three:  Digi-bridge at Ashley Park
  • Equip shareholders with the means to foster optimal use of technology in the learning environment, ensuring that all 21st-century learners have opportunities to succeed in the digital age.

  • Connect Home USA
Stop Two: West Charlotte High School Project Lift and Sprint 1 Million
  • Digital Inclusion Institute fully encompasses the three-legged stool of digital inclusion by providing digital literacy classes for 6 weeks, upon graduation parents earn a laptop refurbished by scholars, and an unlimited untethered hotspot. We focus on building technology skills for adults. We are working with national and local partners to provide families with educational opportunities, digital inclusion coursework, internet connectivity, a device, and ongoing technical support as well as continuous workforce development.
Stop Three: E2D ReImage Lab
  • Re-Image CLT is comprised of: E2D Computer Labs which train and employs up to 12 students as computer technicians to refurbish and re-image decommissioned corporate laptops AND E2D Technology Academy (for Workforce Development and Digital Literacy Education) providing the school population with direct exposure to all sectors of the IT industry through expansive digital literacy education.
