Adult and family literacy, as well as digital equity and digital literacy/digital skills development are among my areas of interest and expertise.  Although I am retired, in addition to the Open Door Collective, I serve on the boards of Digital Durham (https://digitaldurham.net/), the Durham Literacy Center (https://www.durhamliteracy.org/), and the National Coalition for Literacy (https://nationalcoalitionforliteracy.org/).  Additionally, I chair the Committee on Literacy of the American Library Association (https://www.ala.org/aboutala/committees/ala/ala-literacy).
