Limited Capacity full

Part A: Local digital inclusion practitioners will engage in a discussion from our allies from Washington, D.C. During this workshop, participants will receive an overview of federal policies which include net neutrality, Lifeline, mandated discount internet offers, privacy, and spectrum. Additionally, practitioners will learn how to leverage these policies on both the state and local level.  Part B: Federal lawmakers are currently looking to further digital inclusion legislation through the lens of rural broadband infrastructure buildout. The panelists will provide tips for advocating for affordability and digital literacy in relations to broadband infrastructure access.  This panel will also inform practitioners about the state of play for rural broadband as well as the Congressional committees of jurisdiction and which members of Congress are interested in this topic.
