I am a non-traditional educator with 20 years+’ experience teaching and leading community based digital literacy activities using effective adult education approaches. These activities include peer-to-peer literacy programs such as the pop-up tech cafes held in community gathering spaces throughout Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, as well as both formal (focusing on job skills) and informal computer literacy workshops. Over the past 5 years I have been training volunteers to lead their peers in learning and enhancing their computer skills. I take an asset based approach to help cultivate relationships and build capacity between a diverse range of stakeholders.
